Pain Management in Practice: An Interdisciplinary Series

This series is an interdisciplinary series with the UConn departments of Medicine, Psychiatry, Pharmacy, and Public Health that will present evidence-based best practices for treating pain in patients with active substance use disorders, an essential and complex topic for clinicians. The course is designed to help providers develop strategies that reduce harm and prevent overdose while improving patient function and quality of life. Through a combination of didactic content, resource sharing, and case-based discussions, participants will build foundational knowledge and explore real-world challenges in applying these approaches. Learners will also gain access to practical tools and resources that can be used to support patient care beyond the course.
