Pain Management in Practice: An Interdisciplinary Series

This multi-year series is an interdisciplinary collaboration with UConn Health (internal medicine, psychiatry, and pharmacy faculty), UConn School of Pharmacy, UConn School of Dental Medicine, and Public Health Sciences that will present evidence-based best practices for pain management while also addressing common circumstances that create complex scenarios for clinicians, including co-existing substance misuse, substance use disorders and discussing risks of treatment. Through a combination of didactic content, resource sharing, and case-based discussions, participants will build foundational knowledge and explore real-world challenges in applying this knowledge and best practices. Learners will also gain access to practical tools and resources that can be used to support patient care beyond the course. Series Sessions will be held twice a year (2026, 2027, and 2028) with updated information and links below.
