Session Description: Dr. Jonathan Ripp serves as Chief Wellness Officer at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he leads system-wide initiatives to enhance well-being among students, trainees, and faculty. Formerly the Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education Well-Being, he helped expand wellness programs across Mount Sinai’s training programs. Dr. Ripp is also Co-founder and Inaugural President of CHARM (Collaborative for Healing and Renewal in Medicine), a national organization advancing clinician and learner well-being through leadership networks and scholarly contributions. Nationally recognized for his work, he serves on the National Academy of Medicine’s Action Collaborative on Clinician Well-Being and the board of the Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes Foundation. His research focuses on physician burnout and well-being, with numerous publications and lectures supported by grant funding.
Dr. Rip will be discussing these topics during his presentation; Prevalence, Drivers and Consequences of Physician Well-Being; Tools to Measure Physician and Faculty Well-Being; Regulatory Requirements to Address Physician Well-Being; Interventions to Address Physician and Faculty Well-Being; Well-Being Crisis Response; and Institutional and National Efforts to Support Physician Well-Being.

1. Discuss the prevalence, drivers and consequences of physician well-being.
2. Illustrate the tools to measure physician well-being.
3. Describe the regulatory requirements and interventions to address physician well-being.
