Session Description: This workshop will help CLIC preceptors to identify and understand different communication styles, including their own, and provide strategies for adapting your approach to enhance interactions with colleagues. Through a mini self- assessment, group discussions, and practical exercises, they will learn how to navigate communication challenges and improve teamwork. By the end of the session, CLIC preceptors be equipped with actionable tools to foster better workplace relationships and reduce conflicts.
 
Session Learning Objectives:  Participants will (be able to):
  1. Identify their own dominant communication style through a guided self-assessment.
  2. Describe the strengths and potential challenges of different communication styles in the workplace.
  3. Recognize how varying styles can influence collaboration, conflict, and team dynamics.
  4. Apply adaptive strategies to flex their communication style when engaging with colleagues who communicate differently.
  5. Demonstrate practical techniques in discussion and exercise scenarios that foster clarity, reduce conflict, and build stronger workplace relationships.
