Dr. Hernandez is an Assistant Professor and Chief of Neuromuscular Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She practices in Farmington, CT. Prior to joining the faculty at University of Connecticut, she was at Yale University where she competed her MD, PhD in neuro-immunology, residency in neurology, and fellowship in neuromuscular medicine. Her research has been highly esteemed, having graduated with distinction amongst other recognitions.

Outside of her clinical practice, she is active in leading innovative clinical trials, educating medical students and residents, building a curriculum focused on health systems, and facilitating translational research with a focus on neuro-inflammatory conditions.

In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, exercising, and spending time with family, friends, and her two bernedoodles.
