Angela Quental, MD
Angela S. A. Quental, MD is a pulmonary and critical care medicine physician at the University of Connecticut and John Dempsey Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a second major in English Literature from Fairfield University, graduating magna cum laude, and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where she also completed a Certificate in Public Health. She holds an additional Certificate in Health Professions Education from the UConn Graduate School.
Dr. Quental's clinical and research interests include asthma in pregnancy, maternal critical illness, and medical education. Her current research includes a descriptive study examining the relationship between asthma and pregnancy outcomes at UConn Health. She has presented at national conferences including the ATS International Conference and CHEST Annual Meeting.
Dr. Quental teaches pulmonary physiology as part of the UConn Internal Medicine Physiology Bootcamp and serves as a mentor for the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Interest Group.
