Session Learning Objectives: Participants will (be able to):
1. Review the indications, techniques, and clinical applications of cordotomy, commissural myelotomy, spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and dorsal root entry zone lesions in pain management.
2. Evaluate current neurosurgical approaches to CNS narcotic administration and neuromodulation strategies for the treatment of chronic and refractory pain.
3. Discuss current functional neurosurgery guidelines.

Target Audience: UCHC/UConn Health faculty and affiliated faculty: Primary Care physicians, APRN’s, students, residents, Neurosurgeons, PA’s, any other clinicians involved in the management, care, and treatment of patients with neurosurgical needs pertaining to brain and spine disorders.
