Germine Soliman, MD, MS
Dr. Soliman is a certified internist, geriatrician, hospice and palliative medicine physician. She received her education in Alexandria University, Egypt, then completed her internal medicine residency at Saint Mary's IM program in Waterbury followed by 2 year- Geriatrics fellowship at UConn advanced research track, when she also graduated with masters degree in clinical and translational research. Later, Dr. Soliman developed a Geriatrics department of which, she was the section Chief, of inpatient and outpatient consult service at Saint Mary's Hospital.
Dr. Soliman has a passion to care for the vulnerable and patients with serious illness, hence, she pursued hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Yale then joined the UConn health faculty in 2023 as an assistant professor and the director of outpatient palliative care practice and geriatrics-oncology co-management program.. Her research interests are focused on anorexia of aging, biology of aging and cellular senescence.
