Bernardo Rodrigues, MD, PhD

Dr. Rodrigues is an Associate Professor of Neurology at UConn Health, where he founded the Parkinson's disease and Movement Disorders program.
He currently serves as the director of the Parkinson's disease Clinic and he helps managing patients living with Parkinson's disease and related disorders.
He is also an Associate Program Director of the UConn Health - Hartford Healthcare Movement Disorders Fellowship, where he trains the next generation of Movement Disorders Neurologists. Dr. Rodrigues is Core Faculty of the Neurology Residency program and he is involved in the training of Medical Students and Residents at the UConn School of Medicine (SoM).
Dr. Rodrigues research interests and publications are focused on non-motor features of Parkinson's disease, and he continues to participate in multi-centric randomized clinical trials and he is an active member of the Parkinson Study Group (PSG) and Huntington Study Group (HSG).
As a board member of the American Parkinson's Disease Association (APDA) he coordinates educational programs in Connecticut. At the same time, he continues to lead creating educational programs for patients and providers caring for PD.
